So here I stand, frowning down at my feet, having been wrong for thinking that the ‘all blacks’ would hide the dirt from my extensive over-use of converse.
Wrong for thinking that they’d keep their sleekness over time and that perhaps instead, not all great things last as long as you might have once hoped.
In fact, all good things eventually fade. Whether it’s your favourite pair of shoes tearing away at the seems or the colourful painting of a sunset quickening with darkness, a good day won’t last forever.
What you have to keep in mind, is that the sun will always rise again and that although every day may not be good, there is something good in every day.
So smile, tie up your converse (clean or dirty) and keep moving forward because with the ending of one journey, always marks the beginning of a new and even better adventure.
After all, had we never any dark days… how would we come to appreciate the sunny ones? Plus, it never hurts to buy yourself another pair of #AllStars.
